Vehicle Speed Sensor: Testing and Inspection

Vehicle Speed Sensor Test:

1. Remove instrument cluster.
2. Disconnect the speedometer cable.
3. Using an ohm meter, check continuity across terminals as shown while turning sensor with a small screwdriver.
Continuity should open and close twice per revolution.
Replace sensor if it fails the above test.
