Removal (Maxima, 240SX & 300ZX)

  1. Remove caliper assembly as previously described, and hang assembly on frame with wire. Do not disconnect hydraulic line. On Maxima, remove rotor. All others, remove hub dust cap, "O" ring, cotter pin, adjusting cap and lock nut.
    NOTE: During removal of dust cap, avoid damage to hub dust cap "O" ring.
  2. Remove hub/rotor assembly from spindle without dropping washer and outer bearing. Remove washer, outer bearing, grease seal and inner bearing. Replace grease seal whenever hub and rotor are removed. Remove bolts attaching hub to rotor. Separate rotor from hub.
