Oil Pressure Sending Unit Test: 300ZX

1. Remove harness connector from oil pressure sending unit. Sending unit is located next to oil filter. Connect an ohmmeter between harness terminals and body ground. See Fig 1.
2. With ohmmeter connected to terminal No. 1 and engine off, reading should be zero ohms. With engine idling, there should be no continuity.
3. With ohmmeter connected to terminal No. 2 and engine off, reading should be greater than 74 ohms. With engine idling, reading should be less than 60 ohms. If any reading is not okay, replace sensor.
