Removal & Installation (300ZX)

Disconnect battery ground. Remove lower instrument panel trim from under steering column. Remove steering column covers. Remove combination switch and steering column (if necessary).
Remove nuts (located behind instrument cluster switches) on both sides of combination meter cover lid. Remove instrument cluster switches. See Fig 1. Using a flat bladed screwdriver, release locking tabs and remove defroster vent on top of instrument cover lid.
Remove screws attaching combination meter to instrument panel. Release electrical connectors and speedometer cable. Remove combination meter from instrument panel. To install, reverse removal procedures.
