D21/WD21 FRONT DOOR WINDOW COUNTERMEASURE

SERVICE INFORMATION:

Front door window glass operation on D21 and WD21 Models was improved by reducing the inclination movement of the door glass and increasing the clearance between the door glass and the glass run rubber. This was accomplished by modifying the glass carrier on the front door window regulator and changing the shape of the glass run rubber and front sash assembly. Applied date information for these countermeasures is shown below:

Improper front door window operation incidents on D21 and WD21 Models built before the applied countermeasure dates can be improved by installing the new window regulators - mentioned above - along with a countermeasure glass run rubber (with an improved surface coating) that will fit the existing front door sash assembly.

Also, refer to Technical Bulletin NTB89-083/BF89-010 in order to properly perform the window adjustments after replacing the door window components.
