SERVICE INFORMATION

The propeller shaft assemblies in U.S. built Trucks (except 2WD Z24 models) are different from those of Japan built Trucks. Truck Service Manuals describe only those propeller shafts used in Japan built vehicles. This Bulletin contains Parts Information, Parts Interchangeability Information, Assembly Illustrations and Service Data and Specifications for the propeller shaft assemblies used in U.S. built Trucks.

Please add the following note in the PD Section of the 1986.5, 1987, 1988 and 1989 Truck Service Manuals:

"When servicing the propeller shaft on U.S. built Trucks, refer to Technical Bulletin PD89-001."
