Throttle Position Switch: Adjustments

Throttle Sensor Adjustment:

1. Start and warm the engine to operating temperature.
2. Disconnect the idle switch connector.
3. Connect an ohm meter or continuity tester between terminals B and C.
4. Connect a tachometer to the engine.
5. Raise the engine rpm to 2500 rpm and slowly lower to idle.
6. Confirm that continuity does not exist until the engine speed is:
Idle speed +250 ±150 rpm.
7. If not within specified range, loosen the two securing screws and rotate switch until within range.
8. Tighten screws and recheck.
