Installation

1. Install key, then position coil assembly on compressor body. Ensure Electrical connectors are installed in original position.
2. Insert coil mounting screws, then torque to 3.6-4.3 ft. lbs.
3. Press pulley assembly onto neck of coil assembly using tool No. KV99234160.
4. Align tab of lock washer with notch in clutch, then install locknut and torque to 25 to 29 ft. lbs. Remove any excess oil from clutch surface.
5. Install selective shims to provide proper clearance between pulley and clutch disc, then tap clutch disc onto drive shaft using a suitable mallet.
6. Install spring washer and clutch assembly to drive shaft center bolt, then torque center bolt to 11-12 ft. lbs., while retaining clutch wheel.
7. Measure clearance between clutch disc and pulley assembly using a suitable feeler gauge. Clearance should be .012-.024 inch. If clearance is not as specified, remove or install adjusting shims as necessary.
8. Perform ``Break-In'' operation by engaging and disengaging compressor clutch approximately 30 times to raise the level of transmitted torque.
