Engine - Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch: Testing and Inspection

1. Remove water temperature sensor from water outlet.
2. Dip sensor in pan of water and connect ohmmeter to terminals.
3. Check that resistance is 2.1-2.9k ohms at 66-70°F.
