Piston & Rod Assembly Service: Removal

With cylinder head and oil pan removed. Remove connecting rod nuts. Remove rod cap with bearing half. Push piston and rod assembly out through top of block, ensuring not to damage reusable piston. Rod caps must be kept with their respective pistons.
