Pathfinder & Pickup
- Turn ignition switch to "ON" position. On models with sub fuel gauge, ensure that there is battery voltage between Yellow and Black wires. On models without sub fuel gauge, ensure that there is battery voltage between terminal No. 28 and terminal No. 10. See Fig 1
.
- If there is not 12 volts, check for blown fusible link or fuse. Check harness continuity between battery terminal and combination meter. Check for malfunctioning ignition relay and/or ignition switch.
- If there is 12 volts, check output voltage. On models with sub fuel gauge, check voltage between Blue and Black wires. On models without sub fuel gauge, check voltage between point "A" and terminal No. 10. See Fig 1
.
- Output voltage should be 8 volts. If output voltage is incorrect, disassemble combination meter and replace the voltage regulator.
