SERVICE INFORMATION
On some Applied Models manufactured before the Applied VINs, a squeeling or howling noise may develop in the fan coupling assembly during low temperature operating conditions (typically below 32~F). The noise is usually loudest shortly after starting the engine and gradually disappears as the engine warms up. To eliminate this noise the grease in the fan coupling assembly has been changed. Countermeasure parts (fan coupling assembly with new type grease) have been applied in production, starting with the Applied VINs, and are also available as service parts.
