SERVICE INFORMATION
The rear leaf springs of 1986.5 - 1987 Truck vehicles built before the Applied VINs above may squeak when the truck is driven over rough roads. The squeak may be caused by the #1 leaf spring rubbing against the spring clamps.
To reduce this noise, spread the width of the clamp as described below.
^ Using a pry bar or a suitable tool, spread the top of the clamps (2 per side) approximately 5 mm (to 66 mm) as shown below.
