INTRODUCTION

This bulletin contains radio identification information for the 1986.5 Truck. Use this bulletin to identify the component manufacturer and model number when ordering an exchange unit under the Direct Dealer/Manufacturer Radio Warranty Exchange Program.



IDENTIFICATION PROCEDURES

The 1986.5 Truck audio components are supplied by two (2) radio manufacturers. When ordering an exchange unit, it is important to properly identify the manufacturer and model number of the incident unit. This will ensure that the exchange unit shipped from the radio manufacturer will be the same brand and model as the incident unit.

The radio brand and model number can be easily identified by using the following listing. Many radios are marked with the manufacturers logo that is visible without removing the radio from the vehicle. The logos for Clarion and Hitachi are shown below.
NOTE: ALL RADIO CORES SHOULD BE RETURNED TO THE MANUFACTURER IMMEDIATELY AFTER REMOVAL FROM CUSTOMERS VEHICLES.
