SERVICE INFORMATION

An improved distributor shield plate has been developed for use on VG30 engines. When replacing the distributor cap or rotor on any vehicle with the VG30 engine, make sure that an updated shield plate is installed. Refer to the table below for correct replacement shield plate.

NOTE: If the vehicle is already equipped with one of the updated shield plates replacing it will not be necessary.
