Fig. 1 Injector cover removal.:

CAUTION: REMOVE BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE PRIOR TO INJECTION REMOVAL. INJECTOR IS POWERED AT ALL TIMES.

1. Remove Electro Injection unit from intake manifold.
2. Remove the injector cover. Fig.1

3. With the throttle valve kept fully open, tap the bottom of the fuel injector with a hollow bar Fig.2 described as follows:
a. A hollow bar as shown Fig.3 is recommended for removing injectors. Do not use a bar with an inside diameter of less than 5.5mm (0.217 in.).
b. If the injector nozzle tip is deformed by the bar, the injector should be replaced. Fig.4
