Installation
Fig. 5 Harness removal.:
1. Disconnect the harness of a malfunctioning injector from the harness connector. Fig.5
Fig. 6 Harness installation.:
2. Put the harness of a new injector into the injector harness grommet Fig.6 and the harness tube. Fix the boots and terminal in the harness with terminal pliers and then put the harness in the connector. Put the terminal retainer into the connector.
NOTE: The harness grommet should be replaced with a new one every time it is removed.

3. When assembling connector note harness color and position or injector will be damaged. Fig.7
Fig. 8 O-ring replacement.:
4. Replace the O-ring and the rubber ring with new ones Fig.8. Apply some silicone oil to both O-rings when sliding on to the injector.
Fig. 9 Injector installation.:
5. Put the injector assembly into the injection body. Fig.9.
Fig. 10 Applying silicone.:
6. Push the injectors into the injection body by hand, until the O-rings are fully seated. Invert the body and make sure that the injector tips are properly seated.
7. Apply some silicone bond to the injector harness grommet. Fig.10. An air tight seal is important to ensure stable and proper idling.
Fig. 11 reinstalling injector cover.:
8. Reinstall the injector cover. Be sure to use locking sealer on the screw threads. Tighten the screws in a criss cross pattern to make sure of proper seating of the injector and cover. Fig.11. Torque to 2.5 ft-lbs.
Fig. 12 Applying silicone.:
9. Attach the rubber seal to the top face of the injection body with silicone. Fig.12. Be sure to apply some silicone to the bottom of the rubber seal, and adhere the rubber seal to the injection body. If not , it causes improper idling. Do not reinstall the air cleaner until the silicone has hardened.
10. Reinstall the Electro injection unit on the intake manifold. Torque to 13 ft-lbs.
11. Start the engine, and make sure that there is no fuel leakage from the clearance between the injector cover and the injector body. Stop the engine and make sure that fuel on the throttle valve does not drip. Also be sure that engine idling condition is stable and proper.
12. Perform the mixture ratio feedback system inspection to ensure there is no fuel leakage at the injector top seal.
