Strut & Coil Spring: Disassembly

NOTE: Set spring compressor only on spring. Make sure spring compressor is properly secured to strut.

For coil spring removal, mark position of shock absorber mounting insulator and lower end pin for proper reassembly. Using spring compressor, compress spring until mounting insulator can be turned by hand. Remove self-locking nut on strut shaft. Release spring compressor and remove coil spring.
