Odometer Will Not Operate

- Check to see if speedometer is operating correctly. If its not, perform speedometer trouble shooting. See SPEEDOMETER in this article. If speedometer operation is normal, proceed to step 2).
- Turn ignition switch to "OFF" position. Remove instrument cluster. Disconnect only the wire harness connector from control unit. Leave harness connected to power unit. Connect test jumper lead. See Fig 1 . Turn ignition switch to "ON" position. Measure voltage at harness to odometer unit.
- Perform the following measurements: Green (+) to Red (-), Green (+) to White (-), Green (+) to Blue (-) and Green (+) to Yellow (-).
- All readings should pulsate between 0 (zero) and 4 volts. If not, perform POWER UNIT CHECK . To check power unit output to odometer, measure voltage between terminal VCC (Red) and GND (Black). If results are not okay, replace power unit. If results are okay, replace control unit.
