Valve Springs & Seals: Inspection
- Check valve spring for squareness using a steel square and surface plate. Out-of-square limit is .087" (2.20 mm) on outer spring and .075" (1.90 mm) on inner spring. If out-of-square measurement is more than specification, replace valve spring.
- Check valve spring free length and tension. If measurements are more than specified limits, replace valve spring.
