Rocker Arm & Shaft Assembly: Removal

  1. Remove valve cover and gasket. Fully loosen valve adjusting screws to remove tension. Loosen rocker arm assembly mount bolts evenly, from outside-to-inside.
  2. Remove rocker arm and shaft assembly together with mount bolts. Remove rocker arm springs and shaft mount bolts. Slide rocker arms off rocker shafts. See Figure . Keep components in order for reassembly reference.
