Air Tight Test (Under Load)

  1. Repeat step 1) of AIR TIGHT TEST (NO LOAD) test. Fifteen (15) seconds after engine is stopped and brake fully applied, observe rate of drop in air pressure registered on gauge. If pressure drops more than .98 in. Hg, repair or replace faulty components.
  2. Probable cause of air leakage can be in one or more of the following components: Check valve, damaged diaphragm, brake booster reaction disc (dropped out of position), or air leakage at poppet assembly seat and valve body.
