Cleaning & Inspection

  1. Clean all parts in brake fluid. Check components for excessive wear or damage. If piston-to-cylinder clearance exceeds .006" (.15 mm), replace defective part. Caps, gaskets, packing and valves must be replaced during overhaul.
  2. DO NOT  remove reservoir tanks. If tanks are removed for any reason, discard them and install new tanks. Also, DO NOT  disassemble brake fluid level gauge (if equipped) in master cylinder.
