Brake Warning Light Check

  1. Light indicates parking brake is engaged and also warns of low brake fluid level. Turn ignition switch "ON". To adjust light operation with parking brake applied, bend switch plate down. Light should come on when brake lever is pulled up 1 notch and go out when lever is released.
  2. To check warning light operation with ignition switch "ON", release parking brake lever and raise master cylinder reservoir cap. Warning light should glow. If not, check switch and wire connector.
