FCM/LDW/AHB-Ecu Sensor Calibration
Place a calibration plate.
<Specified template for calibration plate>
<Template>
- Fabricate two calibrate plates or print templates so that they meet the specified dimension.NOTE: When you use the templates, check whether they meet the specified dimension. If not, adjust the print scale and print them again.
- Place them as shown.
- Place the calibration plate and the vehicle as shown.
Calibration plate position
- Distance from the edge of the FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU sensor to the calibration plate: 2100 ± 10 mm (82.7 ± 0.4 in)
Distance between the center of the front axle and the calibration plate: 1250 mm (49.2 in)
- Dimension (height) between the floor and the center of the calibration plate: 1300 ± 10 mm (51.2 ± 0.4 in)
- Turn the ignition switch "OFF" position.
- Connect the scan tool MB991958 to the data link connector (For how to connect the scan tool MB991958, refer to DIAGNOSIS ).
- Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position. (Do not start the engine.)
- Operate the scan tool MB991958 as below:
- Select "FCM/LDW/AHB" on the system selection screen.
- Select "Special function".
- Select "Learning".
- Select "Camera calibration", and then execute the calibration.NOTE: The indicator on the display should illuminate according to the calibration status as shown in the illustration.

NG: DTC No. C1754 is set together with the DTC, which indicates why the calibration has failed.
Explanation of diagnostic trouble code, and remedy
DTC DESCRIPTION
| DTC No. | Contents | Remedy |
|---|---|---|
| C1754 | It will be set when you cannot calibrate. | Follow the diagnostic trouble code, which indicates why the calibration has failed. |
| C2279 | Displayed when the calibration fails due to an internal error in the ECU. | Replace the FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU (Refer to FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU ). |
| C2280 | Displayed when the system detects an implausible contrast ratio of "black and white" portions during the calibration. | Check the calibration plate, FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU and the vehicle for items below, and correct it if necessary. Then repeat the calibration process.
If you cannot calibrate the FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU, replace it (Refer to FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU ). |
| C2281 | Displayed when the system cannot recognize the calibration plate during the calibration. | |
| C2282 | Displayed when the system recognizes two calibration plates or more during the calibration. | |
| C2283 | Displayed when the system detects an implausible contrast ratio of "white" portions during the calibration. | |
| C2284 | Displayed when the calibration plate is slid from the specified position during the calibration. | |
| C2285 | Displayed when the calibration plate is not positioned as specified. | |
| C2286 | The input target position value for service calibration was abnormity. | |
| C2287 | The input distance between target to center for service calibration was abnormity. | |
| C2288 | FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU detected possibility the target overlaps, when calibration is in progress. | |
| C2289 | Displayed when the calibration fails due to an implausible calibration compensation angle (pitch). | |
| C2290 | Displayed when the calibration fails due to an implausible calibration compensation angle (yaw). | |
| C2291 | Displayed when the calibration fails due to an implausible calibration compensation angle (roll). |
