Data List Reference Table

The following items can be read by the scan tool MB991958 from the EPS-ECU input data.

When the system is normal.

  • Start the engine.
  • Turn the steering wheel with a vehicle stationary.

  • Start the engine.
  • Turn the steering wheel with a vehicle stationary.

03 Torque sensor (power supply) Start the engine. 4.7-5.3 V
04 Motor current
  • Start the engine.
  • Turn the steering wheel to the left and right with a vehicle stationary.
Approximately 82 Arms or less (When the steering wheel is not operated, approximately battery voltage)
05 Motor current (target)
  • Start the engine.
  • Turn the steering wheel to the left and right with a vehicle stationary.
Approximately 82 Arms or less (When the steering wheel is not operated, approximately battery voltage)
06 Motor current (unlimited target)
  • Start the engine.
  • Turn the steering wheel to the left and right with a vehicle stationary.
Approximately 82 Arms or less (When the steering wheel is not operated, approximately battery voltage)
07 Engine speed
  • Start the engine.
  • Turn the steering wheel to the left and right with a vehicle stationary.
Tachometer displayed value and scan tool displayed value agree with each other.
08 Vehicle speed
  • Start the engine.
  • Turn the steering wheel to the left and right with a vehicle stationary.
Speed meter displayed value and scan tool displayed value agree with each other.

When the EPS-ECU shut off electric power steering system operation.

When the diagnosis system stops the EPS-ECU, the M.U.T.-III display data will be unreliable.
