Idle-Up Operation Check

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2015 Mitsubishi Lancer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Before inspection and adjustment, set vehicle in the following condition:

  1. Check whether or not the idle speed is the standard value. Refer to On-vehicle Service - Idle Speed Check:

Refer to CURB IDLE SPEED CHECK (2.0L ENGINE Non-turbo).

Refer to CURB IDLE SPEED CHECK (2.0L ENGINE Turbo).

Refer to CURB IDLE SPEED CHECK (2.4L ENGINE).

    Standard value: 700 ± 100 r/min (Except 2.4L ENGINE)

    Standard value: 650 ± 100 r/min (2.4L ENGINE)

  2. Turn on the air conditioning switch and the blower speed selection dial. Engine idling speed should be within the standard value:

    Standard value: 750 ± 50 r/min (2.0L ENGINE Non-turbo)

    Standard value: 800 ± 50 r/min (2.0L ENGINE Turbo)

    Standard value: 800 ± 50 r/min (2.4L ENGINE)

NOTE: It is not necessary to make an adjustment, because the idling speed is automatically adjusted by the ISC system. If, however, a deviation from the standard value occurs for some reason, check the ISC system:

Refer to CURB IDLE SPEED CHECK (2.0L ENGINE Non-turbo).

Refer to CURB IDLE SPEED CHECK (2.0L ENGINE Turbo).

Refer to CURB IDLE SPEED CHECK (2.4L ENGINE).
