Diagnostic Function

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The theft-alarm sensor communicates with the ETACS-ECU via the LIN bus line. If the DTC No. B120B is stored, the theft-alarm sensor itself may be defective.

NOTE:
  • DTC No. B120B may be stored when the theft-alarm sensor cover is improperly installed or is removed. Check if the theft-alarm sensor cover is properly installed.
  • DTC No. B120B is stored when the ultrasonic wave transmission/reception part of the theft-alarm sensor is covered. Check if the ultrasonic wave transmission/reception part of the theft-alarm sensor was covered.
