Inspection Procedure 5: No door will be locked or unlocked by operating a lock/unlock switch on any door: Diagnosis

STEP 1. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-III), diagnose the CAN bus line.
CAUTION: To prevent damage to scan tool (M.U.T.-III), always turn the power supply mode of the engine switch to the OFF position before connecting or disconnecting scan tool (M.U.T.-III).
1. Connect scan tool (M.U.T.-III). Refer to "HOW TO CONNECT SCAN TOOL (M.U.T.-III) ."
2. Turn the power supply mode of the engine switch to ON.
3. Diagnose the CAN bus line.
4. Turn the power supply mode of the engine switch to OFF.
Q: Is the CAN bus line found to be normal?
1. YES: Go to Step 2.
2. NO: Repair the CAN bus line (Refer to DIAGNOSIS ).
STEP 2. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-III), read the diagnostic trouble code.
Check if any DTC is stored in the KOS-ECU.

CAUTION: To prevent damage to scan tool (M.U.T.-III), always turn the power supply mode of the engine switch to the OFF position before connecting or disconnecting scan tool (M.U.T.-III).
1. Connect scan tool (M.U.T.-III). Refer to "HOW TO CONNECT SCAN TOOL (M.U.T.-III) ."
2. Turn the power supply mode of the engine switch to ON.
3. Check if DTC is stored.
4. Turn the power supply mode of the engine switch to OFF.
Q: Is the DTC stored?
1. YES: Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART .
2. NO: Go to Step 3.
STEP 3. Check the central door locking system operation
Check that the central door locking system works normally.

Q: Is the check result normal?
1. YES: Go to Step 4.
2. NO: Perform troubleshooting for the central door locking system (Refer to STANDARD FLOW OF DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLESHOOTING ).
STEP 4. Check the customization
Check that "KOS feature" is set to "Both enable" with a customization function.
- Both enable
Q: Is it set to "Both enable"?
1. YES: Go to Step 5.
2. NO: Set "KOS feature" to "Both enable" with a customization function (Refer to CUSTOMIZATION FUNCTION ).
STEP 5. Check with another registered keyless operation key.
Q: Can the engine switch be turned ON? (Is the keyless operation key recognized?)
1. YES: Replace the keyless operation key that could not turn the engine switch ON (the keyless operation key was not recognized), and register the ID codes (refer to ON-VEHICLE SERVICE < KOS-ECU > ).
2. NO: Go to Step 6.
STEP 6. Check of the troubles
Operate the lock/unlock switch to check that the door can be locked and unlocked.

Q: Is the check result normal?
1. YES: The diagnosis is complete.
2. NO: Replace KOS-ECU and register the ID codes (Refer to ON-VEHICLE SERVICE < KOS-ECU > ).
