Diagnostic Procedure

  1. STEP 1. Engine idling speed check 

    Q: Is the check result normal? 

    1. YES:  Go to Step 2.
    2. NO:  Refer to the "Engine troubleshooting."
  2. STEP 2. Line pressure check 

    Carry out "hydraulic test" (Refer to HYDRAULIC PRESSURE TEST  ).

    Q: Is the check result normal? 

    1. YES:  Go to Step 3.
    2. NO:  Repair according to the hydraulic pressure test diagnosis table.
  3. STEP 3. Retest the system. 
    • Replace TCM.
    • Recheck the trouble symptom.

    Q: Does the malfunction take place again? 

    1. YES:  Replace the CVT assembly.
    2. NO:  The inspection is complete.
