Transmission Oil Change

- Remove the engine compartment under cover front B assembly. (Refer to UNDER COVER ).
- Remove the oil drain plug to drain the oil.NOTE: Because the oil in the oil cooler and oil filter cannot be drained, the amount of drained oil will be approximately 5.5 dm3 .
- Tighten the oil drain plug to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 25 N.m (19 ft-lb)
- Remove the air cleaner element, air cleaner intake duct, and air cleaner body. (Refer to AIR CLEANER ).
- Remove the oil filler plug, then fill the oil.
Brand name: Mitsubishi genuine Dia-Queen SSTF-I
Filling amount: Approximately 5.5 dm 3 (approximately 5.8 quarts)
- Tighten the oil filler plug to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 25 N.m (19 ft-lb)
- Install the air cleaner element, air cleaner intake duct, and air cleaner body. (Refer to AIR CLEANER ).
- Start the engine, then let it idle for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Move the shift lever to every position, and then move it to the P or N range.
- Stop the engine, then perform Steps 2 to 5 again.
- Check the oil level and oil fouling. (Refer to TRANSMISSION OIL LEVEL CHECK ). If fouling is found, repeat Steps 2 to 5 until the fouling is eliminated.
- Install the engine compartment under cover front B assembly. (Refer to UNDER COVER ).
