How To Read And Erase Diagnostic Trouble Codes

CAUTION: To prevent damage to scan tool MB991958, always turn the ignition switch (engine starting switch) to the "LOCK" (OFF) position before connecting or disconnecting scan tool MB991958.

NOTE: If the vehicle battery voltage is low, diagnostic trouble codes will not be stored. Check the vehicle battery if scan tool MB991958 does not display.

Connect scan tool MB991958 to the data link connector.
Turn the ignition switch (engine starting switch) to the "ON" position.
Select "Interactive Diagnosis" from the start-up screen.
Select "System select."
Choose "TPMS" from the "CHASSIS" tab.
Select "MITSUBISHI."
Select "Diagnostic Trouble Code."
If a DTC is stored, it is shown.
Choose "Erase DTCs" to erase the DTC.
NOTE: Past trouble only
