INSPECTION PROCEDURE 9: A/C pressure sensor system: Diagnosis

  1. STEP 1. Inspection of the A/C pressure sensor 

    Refer to SIMPLE INSPECTION OF THE A/C PRESSURE SENSOR  .

    Q: Is the A/C pressure sensor normal? 

    1. YES:  Go to Step 2.
    2. NO:  Replace the A/C pressure sensor.
  2. STEP 2. Check open circuit in AC/P, BVSE & ACPE and BVS5 & ACP5 line between A/C pressure sensor connector and engine control module connector. 

    Q: Is the check result normal? 

    1. YES:  Go to Step 3.
    2. NO:  Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.
  3. STEP 3. Check the data list below on the scan tool (M.U.T.-III). 

    All the following items in the data list should be normal.

    Item No.61: Pressure sensor 

    Q: Is the check result normal? 

    1. YES:  Go to Step 4.
    2. NO:  Replace the heater controller assembly (A/C-ECU).
  4. STEP 4. Retest the system. 

    Q: Is the check result normal? 

    1. YES:  Intermittent malfunction (Refer to HOW TO COPE WITH INTERMITTENT MALFUNCTION ).
    2. NO:  Replace the heater controller assembly (A/C-ECU).
