Code No. U1013 Driver demand torque signal: Diagnosis

- STEP 1. Scan tool (M.U.T.-III) CAN bus diagnosis
Use scan tool (M.U.T.-III) to diagnose the CAN bus lines.
Q: Is the check result normal?
- YES: Go to Step 2.
- NO: Repair the CAN bus lines (Refer to CAN BUS DIAGNOSTICS TABLE ). On completion, go to Step 5.
- STEP 2. Scan tool (M.U.T.-III) DTC
Use scan tool (M.U.T.-III) to check that any DTC other than the code No. U1013 is stored in ASC-ECU.
Q: Is the DTC stored?
- YES: Troubleshoot the relevant DTC, and then go to Step 5.
- NO: Go to Step 3.
- STEP 3. Scan tool (M.U.T.-III) other system DTC
Use scan tool (M.U.T.-III) to check that the DTC is stored in the engine control module.
Q: Is the DTC stored?
- YES: Troubleshoot the relevant DTC, and then go to Step 5.
- NO: Go to Step 4.
- STEP 4. Check whether the DTC is stored again.
Erase the DTC.
Q: Is DTC No. U1013 stored?
- YES: Replace the hydraulic unit (integrated with ASC-ECU) (Refer to HYDRAULIC UNIT ), and then go to Step 5.
- NO: Intermittent malfunction (Refer to HOW TO COPE WITH INTERMITTENT MALFUNCTIONS ).
- STEP 5. Check whether the DTC is stored again.
Erase the DTC.
Q: Is DTC No. U1013 stored?
- YES: Return to Step 1.
- NO: This diagnosis is complete.
