DTC P1796: Idle-N control function failure: Diagnosis

STEP 1. Scan tool (M.U.T.-III) CAN bus diagnostics.
Use scan tool (M.U.T.-III) to perform the CAN bus diagnosis.

Q: Is the check result normal?
- YES: Go to Step 2.
- NO: Repair the CAN bus line (Refer to CAN COMMUNICATION-RELATED DTC (U-CODE) TABLE ).
STEP 2. Check the DTC.
Check the ASC DTC. (Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART ).

Q: Is the DTC stored?
- YES: Check and repair the relevant DTC system.
- NO: Go to Step 3.
STEP 3. Perform the troubleshooting for DTC No. P0753: low clutch linear solenoid valve and DTC No. P0731: 1st gear incorrect ratio.
Check whether the DTC is stored again.

Q: Is DTC No. P1796 stored?
- YES: Replace the TCM.
- NO: This diagnosis is complete.
