Wheel Bearing End Play Check

  1. Remove the rear brake disk. (Refer to PARKING BRAKE LINING AND DRUM .)
  2. Set a dial gauge as shown in the figure. Move the rear wheel hub assembly in the axial direction and measure the looseness.

    Limit: 0.05 mm (0.002 inch) 

  3. When the looseness exceeds the limit value, replace the rear wheel hub assembly. (Refer to REAR AXLE HUB ASSEMBLY  .)

  4. After checking, install the rear brake disk. (Refer to PARKING BRAKE LINING AND DRUM .)
