  1. Apply sealant to the oil pressure switch thread.

    Specified sealant: Three bond 1215 or equivalent

    CAUTION: Do not start the engine until 2 hours or more have elapsed after installing the oil pressure switch.
  2. In the same manner as removal, use special tool oil pressure switch wrench (MD992118) to tighten the oil pressure switch to the specified torque.

    Tightening torque: 10 ± 2 N.m (89 ± 17 in-lb) 

    NOTE: Within 3 minutes after the application of sealant, install the oil pressure switch.
