The USB adapter data cannot be replayed. < Vehicles with radio and CD player >: Diagnosis

Required Special Tools: 

• MB991223: Harness Set
• MB992006: Extra Fine Probe

1. STEP 1. Check the radio and CD player operation. 

   Check if the radio and CD player work normally and the sound is output.

   Q: Is the check result normal? 

   • YES:  Go to Step 2.
   • NO:  Troubleshoot the radio and CD player (Refer to TROUBLE SYMPTOM CHART ).
2. STEP 2. Check the external sounds input mode. 

   Check if the audio unit is switched to the "USB mode".

   Q: Is the check result normal? 

   • YES:  Go to Step 3.
   • NO:  Switch to the external sounds input mode.
3. STEP 3. Check the USB adapter. 

   Check if the USB adapter works normally. (Refer to USB ADAPTER INSPECTION  )

   Q: Is the check result normal? 

   • YES:  Go to step 4.
   • NO:  Replace the USB adapter.
4. STEP 4. Check the USB cable. 

   Check that the USB cable is connected to the USB adapter or USB box normally. Or check the USB cable for damage such as bend.

   Q: Is the check result normal? 

   • YES:  Go to step 5.
   • NO:  Replace or repair the USB cable.
5. STEP 5. Check the trouble symptom. 

   Check that the sound is output from the speaker.

   Q: Is the check result normal? 

   • YES:  The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to HOW TO COPE WITH INTERMITTENT MALFUNCTION ).
   • NO:  Replace the radio and CD player.
