STEP 1. Check the combination meter.
Check whether the speed meter works normally. (Refer to ON-VEHICLE SERVICE .)

Q: Is the check result normal?
- YES: Go to Step 2.
- NO: Diagnose the combination meter. (Refer to Combination meter - Troubleshooting TROUBLE SYMPTOM CHART .)
STEP 2. Check the radio and CD player operation.
Check if the speed compensated volume function of radio and CD player works normally during driving.

Q: Is the check result normal?
- YES: Go to Step 3
- NO: Troubleshoot the radio and CD player. (Refer to TROUBLE SYMPTOM CHART .)
STEP 3. Check the diagnosis mode
Check if the hands free module can be switched to the diagnosis mode. (Refer to DIAGNOSIS MODE < VEHICLES WITH 1CD AUDIO > or DIAGNOSIS MODE < VEHICLES WITH DISPLAY AUDIO > .)

Q: Is the check result normal?
- YES: Go to Step 4.
- NO: Perform Inspection Procedure 5: "DIAGNOSIS MODE cannot be made an entry". (Refer to INSPECTION PROCEDURE 5: DIAGNOSIS MODE CANNOT BE MADE AN ENTRY. < VEHICLES WITH RADIO AND CD PLAYER > .)
STEP 4. Replace the hands free module temporarily, and check the trouble symptom.
Q: Is the check result normal?
- YES: Replace the hands free module.
- NO: Replace the radio and CD player.
