Cooling Fan Motor Check (2.0L Engine Turbo)

  1. Disconnect the fan motor connector.

  2. Check that the fan motor runs when a positive battery terminal is connected to the fan motor-side connector terminal number 1, and terminal number 2 is grounded. Also check to see that there is no abnormal sound emitted from the fan motor at this time.
  3. If the fan motor is defective, replace it (Refer to <<B>> FAN, FAN MOTOR AND COOLING FAN SHROUD ASSEMBLY REMOVAL  .)
  4. Connect the fan motor connector.
