INSPECTION PROCEDURE 16: GPS cannot be received: Diagnosis
- STEP 1. Check that the vehicle is situated in a location with a good visibility.
Q: Is the vehicle situated in a location with good visibility?
YES: Go to Step 2.
NO: Move the vehicle to a location with good visibility. Check that the GPS can be received.
- STEP 2. GPS reception check
- Turn the ignition switch to the "ACC" position.
- When 15 minutes has elapsed, check that the GPS can be received.
Q: Is GPS received?
YES: Go to Step 3
NO: The procedure is complete.
- STEP 3. Check the GPS antenna cable.
Q: Is the GPS antenna cable normal?
YES: The procedure is complete.
NO: Go to Step 4.
- STEP 4. Temporarily replace the GPS antenna, and check that the GPS can be received.
Q: When the GPS antenna is temporarily replaced, can GPS be received?
YES: Replace the GPS antenna. Check that the GPS can be received.
NO: Replace the navigation unit. Check that the GPS can be received.
