INSPECTION PROCEDURE 14: The map disc is not read: Diagnosis
- STEP 1. Check that the inserted disc is the special map disc.
- *1. When an unusable disc is inserted, "The disc is not a map disc. Please insert the map disc." is displayed.
- *2. If the disc is not inserted, "There is no disc in the DVD player. Please insert the map disc." is displayed.
Q: Is an inserted disc the special map disc?
YES: Go to Step 2.
NO: Replace the disc with the special map disc. Check that the map disc is read.
- STEP 2. Check if the map disc is inserted upside down.
Q: Is the map disc inserted upside down?
YES: Go to Step 3.
NO: Correct the side of the map disc, and then reboot. Check that the map disc is read.
- STEP 3. Check that the fouling is present to the map disc.
Q: Is there any fouling to the map disc?
YES: Go to Step 4.
NO: Clean the disc signal side, then reboot. Check that the map disc is read.
- STEP 4. Check that the scratch is present to the map disc.
Q: Is there any scratch to the map disc?
YES: Replace the navigation unit. Check that the map disc is read.
NO: Go to Step 5.
- STEP 5. Replace the map disc, then check that the disc is scratched again.
Q: Is the disc scratched again?
YES: Replace the navigation unit. Check that the map disc is read.
NO: Replace the map disc. Check that the map disc is read.
