Stop Light Switch

  1. Disconnect the stop light switch connector.
  2. Screw in the stop light switch until its threads contact the stopper, and fix the stop light switch by turning it approximately 1/4 turn clockwise. See Fig 1 .
    3. CAUTION: Check that the stop lights do not illuminate when the brake pedal is not depressed.
  3. The clearance should be 0.02-0.04" (0.5-1.0 mm). Adjust as necessary.
  4. Reconnect stop light switch connector.
  5. Check proper operation of key-lock and shift interlock systems.
