CAUTION: Check line pressure before attempting pressure adjustment. See HYDRAULIC PRESSURE TESTS .

Drain transmission fluid. Remove oil pan. See appropriate SERVICING article. Note location of line pressure adjusting screw. See Fig 5 . Rotate line pressure adjusting screw clockwise to decrease line pressure and counterclockwise to increase line pressure.

NOTE: Adjust to middle of the standard range when transmission is in 1st or 2nd gear. See Fig 2 .

Rotating line pressure adjusting screw one revolution will change line pressure about 5.1 psi (35 kPa). Reinstall oil pan. Fill transmission with appropriate ATF to proper level. Recheck line pressure.
