Conditions For Setting DTC

When output signal from output shaft speed sensor multiplied by 2nd gear ratio is not the same as output signal from input shaft speed sensor after shifting to 2nd gear, DTC 42 is set. When DTC 42 is set 4 times, transmission is locked into 3rd gear as a fail-safe measure and the "N" range indicator light flashes once per second.
