Circuit Description

The PCM supplies 4.8-5.2 volts to the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS). The VSS generates a pulse signal. The PCM compares the VSS signal to the input shaft and output shaft speed sensor signals. If the VSS becomes inoperative, the transmission will not shift normally.
