Conditions For Setting DTC

If the output signal from the output shaft speed sensor has been lost for one second or more while the vehicle is being driven, it is judged to be an open or short in the output shaft speed sensor circuit and DTC 23 is set. If DTC 23 is set consecutively four times, the transmission is locked into 3rd or 2nd gear as a fail-safe measure.
