Output Shaft Speed Sensor

The output shaft speed sensor delivers an input signal to PCM to indicate output shaft speed. This signal is compared to input shaft speed sensor signal to monitor gear ratios. Monitoring gear ratios allows PCM to confirm correct element application and operation. The output shaft speed sensor is mounted on transmission case.
