Input Shaft Speed Sensor

The input shaft speed sensor delivers an input signal to PCM to indicate input shaft speed. This signal is compared to output shaft speed sensor signal to monitor gear ratios. Monitoring gear ratios allows PCM to confirm correct element application and operation. The input shaft speed sensor is mounted on transmission case.
