Fluid Temperature Sensor
Remove fluid temperature sensor. See appropriate SERVICING article. Place sensor and thermometer in container of ATF suitable for varying temperature. See Fig 1 . Measure resistance between sensor terminals as ATF is cooled and heated. See TRANSMISSION FLUID TEMPERATURE SENSOR RESISTANCE table. Replace sensor if resistance is not as specified.
